Logistics Coordinator

Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the logistics operations of Great Plains Beef. Essential duties will include contracting with carriers for weekly freight shipments and researching carrier options to best fit business needs. The Logistics Coordinator will also be responsible for shipment tracking and reporting. This position will require strong problem-solving skills and excellent customer service skills. The Logistics Coordinator will need to work with freight carriers, sales representatives and customers to anticipate any potential glitches in the shipping process and find resolutions to any problems that may arise.

The Logistics Coordinator will also review and approve shipping invoices to verify accuracy. As needed, this role will also research other carrier options for incoming and outgoing shipments, along with continual evaluation of current carriers and processes. This position will require regular communication with warehouse, sales and management personnel to make sure product and supplies are getting to destination points undamaged and timely. Assume other duties as assigned.

Sales Account Manager

The Sales Account Manager’s focus will be generating new sales. Cold calling and building relationships with retail locations, restaurants and distributors who do not currently carry our Certified Piedmontese beef, will be an integral part of this position.

The Sales Account Manager will research the market and identify potential new customers. This position will include cold calling prospective new customers, educating them about Certified Piedmontese beef, send out sample products and sell Certified Piedmontese products that fit the needs of the customer. This position will also manage accounts for current customers. This will include taking weekly orders, selling additional Certified Piedmontese products, customer service, billing, and collecting on account balances.

The Sales Account Manager will travel to meet with current and potential customers, assist in product demos, and attend trade shows and other industry events. The Sales Account Manager will work with the rest of the sales team to help assure the success of the Certified Piedmontese products and services. Sales experience required. Selling experience in all-natural or organic markets preferred. Assume other duties as assigned.

Sales Intern

The Sales Intern will gain valuable experience within a progressive beef operation. This paid internship will provide experience in all aspects of marketing, sales, and distribution of its all-natural Certified Piedmontese beef products including:

  • Identify and analyse niche beef markets and consumer demand
  • Research and initiate contact with potential customers, including high-end restaurants, and retailers in locations around the Nation
  • Build relationships with current customers through selling Certified Piedmontese by Great Plains Beef
  • Process orders, customer service, and collections
  • Assist in coordinating the distribution and inventory management of Great Plains Beef Products

This is an excellent paid opportunity for students to receive hands-on training in sales and beef brand management. The intern must be proficient in use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Prefer junior/senior/ graduate level. Assume other duties as assigned.
